Petr Činčala
Bio
Petr Činčala, the president of NCD America, also serves as the Director of the Institute of Church Ministry at Andrews University, Professor of World Mission, Director of the Doctor of Intercultural Studies program. With a Ph.D. in World Mission and decades of experience in research, leadership development, and church health, he is passionate about helping churches and leaders move from survival to flourishing. His work focuses on church vitality, discipleship, congregational research, and creating environments where people can discover and use their God-given gifts for meaningful ministry. He has worked extensively with church leaders, researchers, and practitioners across multiple continents, helping them integrate research insights with practical ministry strategies.
As President of NCD America, Petr is committed to equipping coaches and leaders to cultivate healthy, life-giving churches. He enjoys bringing people together to learn from one another, encouraging collaboration between researchers and practitioners, and helping churches understand that lasting growth begins with inner health and transformation. He believes that when leaders intentionally develop healthy church cultures, communities are transformed and God's mission advances more effectively.
Petr currently lives in Berrien Springs, Michigan, with his wife and family. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys exploring nature, drawing leadership lessons from creation, traveling internationally, preaching, mentoring doctoral students, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
