FAQ

How can I become an NCD Coach? Answer: Visit the "Become an NCD Coach" to learn more.

What training opportunities are available for NCD Coaches? Answer: NCD America offers two types of training: 1) an initial two-day training about the unique NCD process, including conversations about the NCD model, as well as what it means to be an NCD coach; and 2) a specialized online training process (called Coaching Collectives) for NCD coaches that offers the best practices of effective coaching in NCD congregations.

How do I create a sub-account for the pastor of a church? Answer: As a coach, you have the option in your account to create a sub-account. The pastor will receive automated email, asking him to set his password. If a pastor has an individual sub-account, s/he can proceed with the process described above on his/her own (s/he will be able to insert the email addresses him/herself and fill out the facilitator’s form as well). In this case, you need to release the token(s) purchased by this church (Basic and perhaps Advanced), which then the pastor will use to produce the results. Although you will not have access to his/her account, you will see the results in your account. Keep in mind: It is not possible to see incomplete surveys on a sub-account under your own account (i.e. if the pastor has sent the surveys under a sub-account, you will not be able to see the incomplete surveys from your account).

How can I share a token with someone else? Answer: If you bought the token, please click on “Tokens” > then on “Provide Tokens Directly” > below that, type the name of the account and send the token to them. The token recipient will need the token to produce the Basic Profile (and if you have the Advanced Profile token, you can send it to them as well).

If I am using paper surveys, what should I do once the surveys are filled out and turned back in to me? Answer: When you have collected all 30 paper surveys, follow these instructions. -Log into your NCD Survey account. -Start a new church project by clicking on “Start a Survey” > create a name of the new project (name of the church works best). -Enter the data by clicking on “Add” in the paper participants section. -Before you click on “Produce Basic Profile,” be sure the pastor’s survey has been entered. If it has not, click on “Edit Facilitator’s Form” and fill in the survey. -Since you have the tokens in your account, you can produce the Basic Profile with two clicks (blue button > then “Proceed”). The results will appear on the screen in a new window that pops up shortly after you click on “Proceed.” -Download the profile by clicking on the “Download Profile” link underneath the window and save as a PDF. (If printing, choose landscape to have the print straight.)
