Marjaana Kuivalainen

Marjaana is an ICF‑certified coach and church administrator with a master’s degree in social sciences and a deep interest in how people and communities flourish. She helps everyday ministry leaders grow with clarity, confidence, and practical tools they can use right away. She loves helping Christians bring their God‑given gifts together for God’s glory and the good of the church.

She was born in Finland and later spent a meaningful 3.5‑year season in Germany with her husband and their two young children before eventually settling in the United States as a family of five. Navigating life together in new cultures shaped her into an intercultural leader with a broad global perspective and a warm, relational approach to people and ministry.

As part of NCD America, Marjaana brings coaches and leaders together in the shared space to learn from one another. She loves creating environments where people can share wisdom, swap stories, and grow side by side. She’s convinced that when we combine our strengths, we can make a much bigger impact for the Kingdom of God—spreading NCD across the U.S., supporting more churches and leaders, and doing far more together than any of us could on our own.

Marjaana now lives in a small town in the eastside of Seattle, WA with her family and two golden retrievers. When she’s not working with leaders, she’s likely enjoying coffee with friends, going for a walk, or getting lost in a good fantasy novel.
